IT Support Specialist and Help Desk

Abutig Tobacco Factory is seeking a dynamic IT Support Specialist and Help Desk professional to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our technical infrastructure, including server management across Linux and Windows platforms, network administration via MikroTik routers, and handling our Communication Server (PABX). Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in managing and troubleshooting our ERP system, specifically Odoo ERP, ensuring its continuous operation and effectiveness in supporting our business processes. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our users, ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide first-line response for users requiring assistance with IT issues and problems across Linux and Windows servers.
  • Respond to help desk tickets, calls, and emails, offering solutions in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, documenting resolutions for future reference.

System and Network Administration:

  • Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure, including Linux and Windows servers and MikroTik network devices.
  • Administer the Communication Server PABX, ensuring its functionality for optimal communication within the company.

ERP System Management:

  • Oversee and troubleshoot the Odoo ERP system to ensure it meets business needs and functions correctly.
  • Coordinate with different departments to implement system updates and enhancements as needed.

Security and Maintenance:

  • Implement and maintain security measures and protocols to protect data and IT systems.
  • Regularly update systems with the latest patches and upgrades.

User Support and Training:

  • Assist in setting up and configuring new hardware and software.
  • Train non-technical workers on the basic use of systems and applications to ensure company-wide tech proficiency.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, as well as issues and resolutions.
  • Adhere to policies and regulations for IT systems and usage within the factory.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, particularly in environments using both Linux and Windows servers
  • Perfect written English

Nice to have

  • Deep understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows server environments, MikroTik routers, and Communication Server PABX systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Background For Odoo Erp System


Language Requirements

    • Good command of English for professional communication.


Certifications (Preferred):

    • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, MCSA, or similar will be highly regarded.
